Cintac SA is a Chile-based holding company that, through its subsidiaries, is primarily engaged in the steel industry. Its activities include the development, distribution, trade, import and export of iron and steel products. The Company is a parent of Grupo Cintac, a group which comprises Cintac S.A.I.C, involved in the production of cold-formed steel structures; Instapanel SA, a provider of organic coated steel panels and structured panels, among others; Centroacero SA, a manufacturer of steel products used in the construction and mining sectors; as well as Tubos y Perfiles Metalicos SA (TUPEMESA), which produces and distributes tubular steel products. As of December 31, 2012, the Company’s major shareholder was Novacero S.A. with a stake of 52.68%.
