Business description: Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund

Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks total return through capital appreciation and current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and high-yield corporate bonds. It provides an alternative to funds investing exclusively in investment-grade fixed-income instruments, and it seeks to be less sensitive to interest rates by investing in lower duration asset classes. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and non-convertible income securities. The Fund holds investments in a range of sectors, including information technology, consumer discretionary, financials, industrials, health care, communication services, utilities, energy, materials, real estate, consumer staples, and other. Calamos Advisors LLC is the investment adviser of the Fund.
