Boeing received a $499 million contract modification to provide engineering support and technical services for the Apache AH-64 helicopter from the U.S. Army, the Pentagon said.

Work on the contract is expected to be completed in February 2031. The original contract was awarded Feb. 21 of this year, the Pentagon added.

Boeing said the AH-64 is used by 19 countries around the globe, with over 1,300 currently operating. The aircraft has logged 5.3 million flight hours, with over 1.3 million of those in combat, the company added.
