Mr. Shahinian joined CalPERS in August 1998 with investment and credit analysis experience.
He previously co-managed a $1.5 billion fixed income portfolio for Foundation Health Systems, one of the largest publicly traded health care companies in the nation.
Mr. Shahinian gained corporate lending experience working as a Senior Credit Analyst for Sacramento Commercial Bank, where he focused on small to mid-size company financings.
He is also on the Advisory Board for Falconhead Capital.
