Leon Courneya has been President of Northwest Territories Power Corp.
since July 1, 1996 and Chief Executive Officer since December 10, 1997.
He is President and Chief Executive Officer of the NWT Energy Corp.
Ltd. and Aadrii Ltd. Prior to his current position, he was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Northwest Territories Power from 1993 to 1996 and Finance Director from 1989 to 1993.
Previously, he was Manager of Financial Reporting in Yellowknife for the Government of the Northwest Territories from 1986 to 1989.
Mr. Courneya is a Chartered Accountant.
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from York University in 1979.
