The consortium comprising Eiffage Génie Civil (leader) and Chantiers Modernes Construction, a subsidiary of Vinci Construction, has been selected by Veolia to design and build the civil engineering for three water treatment plants.

This contract is part of the concession for the management of the public drinking water service in the Île-de-France region, awarded to Veolia by the Syndicat des Eaux d'Île-de-France (SEDIF). The contract is worth more than 400 million euros, divided equally between Eiffage Génie Civil and Chantiers Modernes Construction.

In addition to the design and construction of the framework for the new low-pressure reverse osmosis (LPRO) treatment units, the contract covers the upgrading of the power supply to the water treatment plants at Neuilly-sur-Marne (Seine-Saint-Denis) and Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne).

The contract also includes demolition operations, special foundations and the construction of ancillary buildings.
