Smart Metering Systems plc is a United Kingdom-based fully integrated energy infrastructure company. The Company owns, installs and manages carbon reduction (CaRe) assets. Its CaRe verticals include meter assets, grid-scale battery storage, behind-the-meter smart solar and storage, electric vehicle infrastructure, energy services and energy data. It optimizes these low-carbon assets using its in-house technology platform, METIS. It operates through three segments: Asset management, Asset installation and Energy management. Asset management segment comprises regulated management of gas and electric meters, ADM units and energy data assets within the United Kingdom. Asset installation segment comprises installation of domestic and I&C gas meters and electricity meters throughout the United Kingdom. Energy management segment comprises the building and operation of grid-scale batteries, the provision of energy consultancy services and the management of distributed energy resources.
