Business description: Oriental Interest

Oriental Interest Berhad (OIB) is a Malaysia-based investment holding company, which is engaged in residential and commercial property development, general construction, oil palm cultivation and hotel operations. The Companyâ€™s segments include Property Development, General Construction, and Investment Holding. It is also engaged in oil palm cultivation on approximately 302 acres of agricultural land in Kedah and Selangor. It operates approximately nine hotels across Kedah and Selangor under the Urban Inn brand. The Company has completed over 177 projects in the northern and central regions, such as Taman Serai Wangi, Taman Permaipura and SP Saujana in Kedah and Desa Pinggiran Putra, Myra Saujana and Myra Alam in Selangor. It has delivered vacant possession for more than 29,000 units ranging from terraces, semi-detached, bungalows to apartments and condominiums. Its subsidiaries include OIB Construction Sdn. Bhd, OIB Marketing Sdn. Bhd, and OIB Management Sdn. Bhd.
