Ferrotec Corp, formerly Ferrotec Holdings Corp, is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of products used in semiconductor and flat panel display (FPD) manufacturing equipment, thermo-modules, as well as silicon products, magnetic fluids, sensors and their application products. The Company operates through three segments. The Semiconductor and Other Equipment Related segment is engaged in the production of vacuum seals, metal fabricated products for various manufacturing equipment, quartz products, ceramics products, chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-silicon carbide (SIC) products, silicon parts, quartz crucibles, and equipment parts cleaning. The Electronic Devices segment produces thermo-modules, substrates for power semiconductors, magnetic fluids, and sensors. The Automotive segment manufactures thermo-modules, substrates for power semiconductors, and sensors. It also manufactures saw blades, machine tools, and silicon products for solar cells.
