Discount Investment Corp Ltd (Discount), part of the IDB Holding Group, is an Israel-based holding company. The Company invests in companies and business enterprises in a variety of sectors, and operates major intersections of the business activity in Israel. It also assists investee companies to raise capital in the Israeli and international capital market. Discount's investment areas include cellular communications, advanced technologies, retail and food, real estate and construction. Major holdings of the Company include Cellcom, Shufersal, Property and Building Corporation and Maxima. In addition, the Company has stakes in various Israeli-based international companies, such as: Makhteshim Agan, Elron, Given Imaging, Ham-Let and Maariv Holdings.
