The Company is focused on the development and commercialization of leronlimab, an investigational humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody (mAb) that is designed to bind to C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5), a protein on the surface of certain immune system cells. It has studied leronlimab in multiple therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, oncology, and autoimmune conditions. The Company has conducted clinical trials of leronlimab as a viral entry inhibitor for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), believed to competitively bind to the N-terminus and second extracellular loop of the CCR5 receptor. For immunology, the CCR5 receptor is believed to be implicated in immune-mediated illnesses, such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis. It has a joint development agreement with a third-party generative artificial intelligence (AI) drug discovery and development company to develop one or more longer-acting molecules.
