Bulgarian River Shipping AD (Bulgarische Flusschiffahrt AG or Parokhodstvo Bolgarskoe rechnoye plavan'ye AD) is a Bulgaria-based company that is engaged in the water transportation industry, mainly on the Danuba river. It offers such transport services as transportation of bulk, general, liquid and oversized cargoes, container and ferryboat shipments, freight support services, chartering of river and sea vessels, as well as agency services for Bulgarian and foreign flag vessels. The Company owns and operates passenger ships, pushers, tugboats, maneuvering and auxiliary ships, ferryboat platform for transportation of passengers and vehicles, as well as different types of non-propelled fleet. It operates through such subsidiaries as: VTC AD, Mayak KM AD, Interlihter-Slovakia EOOD, Blue Sea Horizon Corp, Port Pristis OOD and Port Invest EOOD, among others. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was Bulgarska Korabna Kompaniya EAD with a stake of 81.09%.
