The Company is engaged in developing immune therapeutics for the prevention, treatment, and mitigation of bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections that express the antigenic target poly N-acetyl glucosamine (PNAG). Its immune therapeutics target the conserved microbial surface polysaccharide poly N-acetyl glucosamine (PNAG). The Company's vaccine candidate, Vaccine AV0328, is a synthetic PNAG vaccine. It induces antibodies that are capable of killing a wide range of PNAG-expressing pathogens. AV0328 be developed as a complement to Streptococcus pneumonia vaccines (Prevnar, Pneumovax, and Vaxneuvance). AV0328 could protect against many of approximately 80 serotypes.
