Shares of technology companies were more or less flat as traders hedged their bets on the outlook for artificial-intelligence infrastructure spending.
OpenAI held early discussions with investors about a new funding round that could value it at more than $1.2 trillion.
Amazon raised the minimum starting wage for its U.S. full-time core operations employees to $20 an hour.
