Norwegian fish-farming company Salmar has completed the share buyback program that began on August 25. The shares are expected to be used for delivery to participants in the company's incentive plan.
A total of 100,000 shares were repurchased, equivalent to 0.07 percent of the company, for about 56 million Norwegian kroner.
The average price was 561.73 Norwegian kroner per share.
After the buybacks, Salmar holds 158,755 treasury shares, equivalent to about 0.12 percent of all shares.
SalMar ASA is one of the world's leading producers of salmonids. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- processing and sale of salmon and farmed fish (99.8%);
- salmonid farming (0.2%): producing, in 2025, 284.5 Kt of salmonid. In addition, the group holds 52.5% of Icelandic Salmon AS (Iceland) and 50% of Norskott Havbruk AS (Norway).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Norway (22.2%), Europe (31.8%), Asia (26.5%), the United States and Canada (18.6%) and other (0.9%).
