Danish energy company Ørsted reports a stronger-than-expected EBITDA result for the second quarter. The company reiterates its forecasts.

Revenue rose 20.5 percent to 20,648m Danish kroner (17,135).

EBITDA came in at 5,423m Danish kroner (6,644), versus expectations of 5,103, for an EBITDA margin of 26.3 percent (38.8).

Adjusted EBITDA totaled 5,435m Danish kroner (5,339), versus expectations of 5,103, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 26.3 percent (31.2).

Net profit was 687m Danish kroner (3,351), compared with the analyst consensus of 1,364.

The company says performance in the first half is in line with the full-year outlook. EBITDA is expected to exceed 28bn Danish kroner, excluding new partnerships and cancellation fees, which corresponds to adjusted EBITDA in Finwire's reporting. The forecast for gross investments remains at 50-55bn Danish kroner.
