Amundi announced the completion of its share buyback program for a total amount of 500m, carried out in line with the objectives set out in its Ambitions 2025 Plan.
Launched on February 4, 2026, the program resulted in the purchase of 5.9m ordinary shares, representing about 2.9% of the asset manager's share capital. The average purchase price came to 84.56 per share (excluding taxes and acquisition costs).
Cancellation of shares and lifting of liquidity restrictions
All of the repurchased shares will be submitted to Amundi's Board of Directors, scheduled for October 28, 2026, the meeting at which the financial statements as of September 30, 2026 will also be approved, with a view to their formal cancellation.
In addition, the completion of this transaction marks the end of the temporary restrictions that had applied to the liquidity contract entrusted to Kepler Cheuvreux, introduced to comply with the European Market Abuse Regulation. These limiting measures have now been lifted.
Amundi features among the world's leading asset management firms. The group performs active management of shares, bonds and yields. It also conducts passive management of indexed funds as well as management of non-liquid assets (property assets and private debts).
