Summerer served as the Chief Medical Officer & Vice President at Bronson Health Care Group, Inc. He also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at MelroseWakefield Healthcare, Inc. from 2004 to 2008.
Prior to that, he was the Chief Medical Officer & Senior Vice President at St. Vincent's Health Services.
Summerer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1973, followed by a doctorate in 1977.
He later received a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1995.
