Prior to joining The Colony Group, Michael served as Chief Investment Officer of Old Harbor Capital Management and was formerly a Principal of Carolina Capital Markets, a broker-dealer specializing in the secondary fixed-income market for taxable and tax-exempt securities.
Before his employment with Carolina Capital Markets, Michael held portfolio management positions with ING Investment Management, American General Corporation, and CIGNA Investments.
He also served as Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut from 1986 to 1991.
Mr. Stevens holds a BS with Honors in Economics from the University of Florida and an MS from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Mr. Stevens holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Senior Grader for the CFA Institute, as well as a member of its Candidate Curriculum Committee.
