Lionel Harris

Mr. Lionel T.
Harris, CFA MBA, is a Chief Investment Officer at Fidelity Management & Research Co. LLC.
In this role, Mr. Harris manages the division’s portfolio managers, oversees investment strategies, and works to ensure consistency and stability in the investment process.
Additionally, he is responsible for the development and growth investment management capabilities, investment products, and assets under management.
He has been in the investment industry since 1989.
Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Harris was a strategic advisor to Fidelity’s Human Resources Enterprise Group, and he served on the board of directors of Geode Capital Management and Southeastern Grocers.
From 2005 to 2018, Mr. Harris was a portfolio manager for a variety of small cap mutual funds.
Previously, he was a sector leader of Fidelity’s Small Cap team and a managing director of Research for the High-Income division.
He joined Fidelity as an investment research analyst in 1995.
Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Harris served as a research project manager at Cambridge Associates, Inc. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in economics from Dartmouth College and his master of business administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He is also a CFA charterholder.
