Dr. Prendergast is currently a testifying expert at SLCG and has worked extensively with fixed-income investments including subprime and other private-label mortgage-backed securities (MBS), agency MBS, collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), auction rate securities (ARS) and municipal bonds.
Dr. Prendergast received his Ph.D.
in Finance from the University of Michigan Business School in Ann Arbor where he was a Rackham Pre-Doctoral Fellow.
Prior to joining SLCG, he was employed for 11 years by Smith Breeden Associates in Durham, North Carolina where he was a principal and director of mortgage research.
