Mr. Berg joined Principal Global in 1994 and has spent his entire tenure with the firm in the real estate equity area.
In addition to portfolio management, Mr. Berg has significant experience in real estate product development and client communications.
Prior to his current role, he served as an asset manager for more than five years in the commercial real estate equity area with responsibility for a portfolio totaling several hundred million dollars.
Mr. Berg received an MBA from the University of Iowa and a bachelor's degree in economics and psychology from Georgetown University.
He is a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
