John Charles Walker

Mr. John C.
Walker, CFA MBA, is a Managing Partner at Stonerise Capital Management LLC.
He co-founded Stonerise Capital Partners in 2007.
From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Walker was a Partner at Blum Capital Partners where, as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, he managed a concentrated portfolio of public and private investments across a variety of industries including business services, financial services, consumer goods and healthcare.
During Mr. Walker’s tenure at Blum, the firm deployed over $4.7 billion in capital including both public strategic blocks and private equity investments.
Mr. Walker was also involved in the investment processes of the internationally-oriented Newbridge entities (co-founded by Blum Capital and TPG) whose investment activities were focused on private equity transactions in a variety of international markets throughout Asia and Latin America.
Prior to joining Blum Capital, Mr. Walker was employed at an investment holding company for Asian entrepreneur T.
Ananda Krishnan, where he was active in both private equity and public market investing.
Previously, Mr. Walker worked in the energy industry.
Mr. Walker received an MBA from Oklahoma State University and a BA in Geology from the University of Oklahoma.
In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
