He leads the investment research, investment strategy, and investment decision-making.
He is a member of Sagard Real Estate’s Investment, Valuation, ESG and New Product Development & Strategy, and Executive Committees.
Mr. Alexander has over 32 years in real estate investment management, overseeing more than $18B in real estate encompassing over 500 investments and 20 different investment programs.
Mr. Alexander's experience includes overlapping roles as a Chief Investment Officer for 18 years, Portfolio Manager/Senior Portfolio Manager for 29 years, and Head of Portfolio Management for 18 years.
Prior to his role at Sagard Real Estate, Mr. Alexander was Senior Portfolio Manager for two open-ended commingled core funds with Principal Financial Group and BlackRock.
He was also the former Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for Real Estate Equity at BlackRock.
He received his B.A. in Economics degree from DePauw University and an MBA from Indiana University Bloomington.
