Typically, management buyouts make up the most frequent transaction. They target profitable mid-sized manufacturing, service and trading companies with good market positions. The firm focuses on companies with positive earnings and sales ranging from €20 million to €200 million. In addition to providing equity capital, HB partners with the portfolio firms' management providing advice and expertise as a majority or minority shareholder. They also provide growth capital in later rounds of financing until the portfolio firms' business is self-financed or ready for an IPO. To ensure that HB interests are aligned with their portfolio firms, HB's investment mangers commit their personal capital to every investment.
