NMVA focuses primarily on investments in publicly traded domestic equity securities. Their funds invest in long and short equities and may invest in derivative instruments. The firm manages both long/short funds and long-biased funds. Both have the objective of generating attractive relative long-term returns more than the broader US equity markets with lower risk than associated with such markets.
