The firm provides equity capital through the Sakura Fund, which is an equity co-investment fund catering to the venture debt fund's portfolio companies. The Sakura Fund makes equity co-investments (alongside the incumbent venture capital firms) in those venture debt portfolio companies which it believes have the most potential long term value. The Sakura Fund is not a direct source of new venture capital; it only provides equity to those companies with which the venture debt fund has a prior relationship.
