Brendan Cremen has an engineering background and has been active in technology and business innovation throughout his career.
In the 1980s, he was a member of the start-up team at Lattice Semiconductor in the US and held senior engineering and business management roles there through to IPO.
On returning to Ireland in the mid-1990s, Brendan joined the launch team for Xilinx Ireland where he led the expansion of its mandate as an international R&D hub for the corporation.
More recently, he spent 10 years in the development of the commercialisation agenda within the Irish university sector, most directly with UCC and UCD.
At UCD he drove the establishment of the University Bridge Fund and now is an advisor to this fund.
