Dr. Lüthje is to be appointed as a member of the WestLB Managing Board with a view to assuming the position of Chairman of the Managing Board of Landesbank NRW when the new bank is established.
This is scheduled for August 1, 2002.
Born in 1939, Dr. Lüthje is married and has three children.
A trained economist, he obtained a doctorate in 1969 with a thesis on the viability of the German Stock Exchange.
