Anne Newtown

Anne Newtown is General Counsel of AmREIT, which she joined in 2006.
She worked at Vinson & Elkins LLP and is a Member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Houston Real Estate Lawyers Council.
Ms. Newtown is a Founding Member of the Houston Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women and was appointed Chairman of the Planning Committee for the South Texas College of Law Real Estate Law Seminar in 2005 and 2006.
She is Chairman of the 2007 Planning Committee and a Member of the Alumnae Association Board for Stephens College.
Ms. Newtown received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Stephens College, a BA degree in English from the University of Colorado and a JD from the University of Houston Law Center.
