Tudor Growth Equity generally invests $15 million per portfolio company. Investments typically take the form of structured equity securities. Tudor Growth Equity most often take a lead role in their investments and a seat on the company's board of directors. The firm often participates in investments with a syndicate of other investors, including both strategic partners and other financial investors. Tudor Growth Equity looks for companies with a commercially available shipping product or service. Companies should have technology and product validation from third parties and a growing, high margin revenue stream. The firm seeks companies with a large market opportunity, favorable industry dynamics, a defensible competitive position, a core management team in place, operating leverage and a capital efficient business model that is at or near profitability. Tudor Growth Equity may also invest in special situations involving PIPEs, consolidation opportunities, corporate spinouts, management-sponsored buyouts, leveraged acquisitions, founders' liquidity transactions and recapitalizations.
