Demna at Gucci (Kering)? A 5/10!
With Kering down 10% at the opening of the Paris Bourse on Friday March 14, it's safe to conclude that Gucci's new artistic director has not been unanimously approved, or either unanimously disapproved of. The Italian label, owned by the Pinault family, has been declining for years. Successive designers' efforts to revive the brand have ended in failure. Demna Gvasalia is clearly leaving with a low level of confidence, at least amongst the financial community.
