Siemens Mobility and RATP have jointly completed the modernization and extension of line 14 of the Paris metro, making it the first automated driverless metro line in the world to migrate to the advanced Trainguard MT CBTC (GoA4) system.

Over a period of six years, the project doubled the line's length to 28 km with extensions to the north and south, offering an interval of 85 seconds between trains.

Line 14 is now the longest metro line in Paris, aiming to accommodate more than one million daily passengers', the press release underlines.

These improvements enable faster journey times through Paris and connect it to the future Grand Paris Express network, underlining 'a collaborative effort involving more than 250 Siemens Mobility engineers and considerable engineering hours'.
