According to a media report, Siemens is stopping the delivery of ICE trains to Deutsche Bahn due to construction defects.

The reason is problems with the floor panels and side panels of the trains, reported "Bild" on Thursday. Welding seams are defective there. Delivery of the trains could be delayed for months because some of the finished trains would have to be returned to the shell. According to the newspaper, Siemens has confirmed the incident. Trains that have already been delivered are not affected, a spokesperson said.
