Ochi Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE:3166) entered into an agreement to acquire 60% stake in IMTEC Co., Ltd. on July 1, 2020. Including costs related to company surveys and stock value calculations by a third party, the acquisition price is expected to be ¥1.2 billion to ¥1.3 billion. Ochi Holdings Co., Ltd. will acquire 240 shares. IMTEC Co., Ltd. will operate as a consolidated subsidiary of Ochi Holdings Co., Ltd. post completion. The transaction is expected to close on July 9, 2020.
OCHI HOLDINGS CO., LTD. is primarily engaged in the building material business, life business and processing business. The Company has three business segments. The Building Material segment sells housing related materials purchased from domestic building materials manufacturers, agents and trading companies to domestic building materials and lumber dealers, house manufacturers, general contractors, construction companies and home centers. The Life segment is involved in the purchase and sale of household goods such as heating equipment and others to supermarkets, home centers and drug stores in Hokkaido, Tohoku and Kanto areas. The Processing segment is engaged in the purchase of building materials, as well as the processing, assembly and sale of precursor structures mainly for wooden houses.
