Mechel PAO is one of the leading Russian metallurgy and mining groups. Net sales break down by activity as follows: - manufacturing of steel products (59%): long steel (55.9% of net sales), hardware products (15.5%), flat steel (13.4%), automotive forgings (8.5%), tubes (1.9%), ferrosilicon (1.8%) and other (3%); - mining operations (31.3%): coking coal (77.4% of net sales), coke and chemical products (19.3%), iron ore concentrate (1.3%) and other (2%). The remaining sales (9.7%) are from an electricity production activity (3.4 million GWh produced in 2019). Net sales break down geographically as follows: Russia (57.8%), the Commonwealth of Independent States (7.2%), Europe (12.9%), Asia (21.3%), Middle East (0.7%) and the United States (0.1%).
