Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc. provides water logistics and oilfield services to customers focused on the development and production of oil and natural gas from shale formations in the United States. The Company's segments include the Rocky Mountain division comprising the Bakken Shale area, the Northeast division comprising the Marcellus and Utica Shale areas and the Southern division comprising the Haynesville Shale area. These segments provide water transport services, disposal services, rental and other services associated with the drilling, completion, and production of shale oil and natural gas. Its Bakken and underlying Three Forks shale formations are the two primary oil producing reservoirs of the Company. Its Marcellus and Utica Shale areas are natural gas producing basins located in the northeastern United States, primarily in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York and Ohio. Its Haynesville Shale area is also a natural gas producing basin.
