Item 8.01. Other Events.

On January 2, 2020, Darling Ingredients Inc. (the "Company") announced that it acquired the other 50% joint venture interest in EnviroFlight, LLC ("EnviroFlight"), thereby increasing its ownership interest in EnviroFlight to 100%. The Company had previously acquired a 50% ownership interest in EnviroFlight in 2016. The Company does not consider this acquisition to be material to its financial position or results of operation. A copy of the press release announcing the acquisition is filed as Exhibit 99.1.
