BASF's Monomers Division announced an increase in its sodium methylate production capacity at its latest customer event in Guaratinguetá, São Paulo (Brazil), on July 3.

In the second quarter, the company increased the nameplate capacity of its sodium methoxide plant in Guaratinguetá, Brazil, to 90,000 metric tons per year.

In his opening speech, Monomers President Dr. Ramkumar Dhruva emphasized the strategic value of the expansion.

In addition to the sodium methylate plant, the site houses 12 other production facilities, offering over 1,500 solutions and products, such as crop protection, raw materials for adhesives, resins, paints, detergents, cosmetics, solutions for the automotive market, among others.
