Shopify Chief Operating Officer Kasra Nejatian is departing.
Nejatian's last day will be Sept. 12, the e-commerce platform said Wednesday.
Shopify's executive team will assume Nejatian's responsibilities.
Nejatian was promoted to chief operating officer in September 2022, after serving as vice president of product, a role he continued to fulfill while head of operations.

Mr. Nejatian is currently Chief Executive Officer & Director at Opendoor Technologies, Inc., starting in 2025.
Former positions include Chief Operating Officer & Vice President-Product at Shopify, Inc. from 2019 to 2025.
Education includes graduate studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and undergraduate studies at The Stephen J.R.
Smith School of Business.
