Mr. McCuaig joined Cornerstone in 2005, bringing eighteen years experience investing in lower middle-market businesses and contributing to value creation at the board of directors level.
In twelve years as a senior partner of National City Equity Partners, he participated in investing over $700 million in more than 100 businesses in a wide range of industries with a focus on manufacturing and industrial distribution.
He has worked at the board level with more than twenty companies, playing an active role in the formation and implementation of business strategy.
Prior to joining National City Equity Partners, Mr. McCuaig managed the investment activities of Thornmark Capital, a Toronto-based private investment holding company.
He began his career as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch Canada in Toronto.
Mr. McCuaig has a BA in Honores Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
He has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
