Tarek Mooro

Mr. Tarek Mooro is a Chief Executive Officer & Founding Partner at Heptagon Capital LLP.
He is on the Board of Directors at Heptagon Capital Management Ltd. Prior to founding Heptagon, Mr. Mooro was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in London and Head of the Middle East and Turkey Group at their Private Wealth Management Division for his last four years at the firm.
He was also a member of the Division’s Global Operating Committee as well as its European Senior Management Committee.
Mr. Mooro held senior positions within Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division when he joined Bank Morgan Stanley AG in Zurich in 1993 to set up its Middle East business, and as member of a two-person team that established the Geneva Branch in 1994.
His previous experience also includes corporate credit at the Egyptian American Bank (Cairo), commodity futures and securities trading at Prudential-Bache Securities (New York) and corporate finance and emerging markets debt trading at Citigroup (London and Cairo).
He began his finance career in 1984.
Mr. Mooro has a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
