Stephen Michael Loderick

Mr. Stephen M.
Loderick, CPA MBA, is Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer & Senior VP at Alterra America Insurance Co. Prior to the merger of Max Capital and Harbor Point in 2010, Mr. Loderick served in the same capacity for Max Specialty, having joined Max in 2006.
From 2000 to 2006, Stephen held several positions that included Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Firemen's Insurance Company of Washington D.C., an affiliate of W.R.
Berkley Corporation.
For the prior eleven years, he held several positions that included Manager of Statutory Accounting and Director of Internal Audit for Markel Corporation and its divisions, including Essex Insurance Company and Markel Insurance Company.
From 1984 to 1989, he worked in public accounting with KPMG, with a specialization in providing assurance based services to the financial services sector.
He has held various positions in the property & casualty insurance markets for nearly twenty years.
Mr. Loderick received his B.S.
in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1984 at the University of Richmond Robins School of Business and his Masters in Business Administration, highest distinction, in 1999 at Virginia Commonwealth University.
He is a member American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds the CPA designation as well as the CPCU designation.
