Amit Shetye is General Counsel of GIP India, having joined GIP in 2019.
He is based in Mumbai.
Mr. Shetye leads GIP India’s Legal and Compliance functions.
He focuses primarily on matters connected with GIP India’s portfolio company transactions, fund management activities and compliance.
Prior to GIP, Mr. Shetye was Partner at L&L Partners Law Offices, where he advised clients on a broad range of corporate transactions and particularly on cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity investments and exits, joint ventures, strategic alliances, reorganizations and associated regulatory work.
Mr. Shetye holds a BSL LLB from the University of Pune.
