Sarah Coughlin

Sarah Coughlin joined Atlas in 2021 and serves as the firm’s senior director, human resources.
She develops and delivers solutions to support the HR needs to Atlas start-ups and portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Atlas, Sarah worked as the director of human resources at Constellation Pharmaceuticals, initially from 2008 thru 2015, where she focused on building the culture of and establishing the societal norms of a nascent biotech, and then returning in 2019 as a HR business partner.
Most recently Sarah concentrated on evolving the culture and establishing diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement programs.
During her time away from Constellation, Sarah was the inaugural director of HR at Hollister Staffing and, prior to that, one of the first employees at Fulcrum Therapeutics.
As Fulcrum’s HR/operations manager, Sarah helped establish and build the HR and employee processes, with an emphasis on culture creation and engagement.
Sarah received a BA in Spanish with minors in Italian and sociology from Fairfield University.
She is also a certified yoga instructor.
Outside of work Sarah can be found walking in Charlestown with her sidekick/adored dog, Georgia.
She is also a lover of music, salt water and golden hour cocktails on the beach with friends and family.
Sarah believes that change is a great thing and has a personal commitment to travel to at least one place she has never been each calendar year.
She refuses to clap when a plane lands.
