Mr. Curran recently retired as Chairman of La Crosse Forage & Turf Seed, LLC a $50 million forage, turf, and cover crop seed business.
Under Mr. Curran’s leadership, the business went through a recapitalization with a private equity firm, a strategic acquisition with Land O’Lakes / Winfield Solutions, and the company’s ultimate exit to DLF Pickseed (a wholly owned subsidiary of DLF Seeds A/S).
Mr. Curran grew up in the small seed industry.
From 1979 to 1997, he worked at La Crosse Seed Corporation owned by Ramy Turf Products as Vice President of Sales and, eventually, General Manager.
After Ramy’s sale of La Crosse Seed Corporation to AgriBioTech, Inc. (ABT) in October 1997, Mr. Curran served as Regional Manager of AgriBioTech.
Mr. Curran launched and founded La Crosse Forage & Turf Seed Corporation in 2000 and served as its CEO from 2000 to 2014 when he moved to Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Curran is a La Crosse, Wisconsin, native and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
