PASI is an active, long-term manager which invests amounts collected from member contributions in accordance with the investment committee and the Authority's Director General. The Board of Directors endorses the investment decisions by approving the minutes of the meetings of the Authority's investment committee. The investment committee meets on regular basis and adheres to the investment regulations and policies approved by the Authority's Board of Directors. The Investment Department implements the investment decisions, follows up the different investment-related matters and submits periodical analysis to the committee in order to monitor investment performance. PASI invests inside and outside Oman by distributing investments within specified proportions and diversified investment assets, aiming to lessen risk and increase returns. The Authority invests locally and externally in shares of joint-stock companies, government and corporate bonds, alternative investment instruments, short-term instruments and real estate (in Oman only).
