Mr. Mazzola is a Senior Advisor to Performance Equity and a member of its Audit Committee.
Until his retirement in June 2017, Michael was Senior Vice President and Head of Alternative Investments at MetLife where he was responsible for a global portfolio of private equity and hedge fund limited partnership investments, as well as direct middle market buyout debt and equity investments.
During his 20-year tenure at MetLife, Michael managed various types of direct private corporate debt and equity investments as well as private equity limited partnerships.
From July 2017 through March 2018, Michael served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), the leading global association for private equity investors.
From 2010 through 2015, Michael was a member of the ILPA Board of Directors, serving as Chairman for the three years ending November 2015.
Michael received his undergraduate degree from New College of Florida and an MBA from University of Rochester.
