Kriss Cloninger

Mr. Kriss Cloninger is President at American Family Life Assurance Co. and a Member at The American Academy of Actuaries. He is on the Board of Directors at Total System Services, Inc., Tupperware Brands Corp., Aflac, Inc., Historic Columbus Foundation, Little Blessings Nurturing Center, Inc., Precept Ministries of Reach Out, Inc. and Rivercenter for the Performing Arts. He joined Aflac Incorporated in March 1992 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was promoted to executive vice president in 1993 and president in May 2001. As CFO, his role included having primary responsibility for the financial management of all company operations. In June 2015, Cloninger’s full-time role shifted to president of Aflac Incorporated, with a particular emphasis on capital and strategic planning, as well as helping the company grow the business while ensuring solid profitability Mr. Cloninger was previously employed as a Principal by KPMG LLP. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
