Jon F.
Goebel brings more than 30 years of experience to the management of the SouthTrust Value Fund and to the company as Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to joining SouthTrust in 1994, he held similar positions at North Carolina Trust Company and Palm Beach Capital Management where he built a strong record of managing assets for high net worth individuals, institutions and mutual funds.
Mr. Goebel also spent more than five years managing the equity portfolio for the Florida retirement system.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, he also is a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor.
He holds a M.A. in Finance and a B.S.
in Accounting and Economics from the University of Nebraska.
He is a graduate of the National
Graduate Trust School, where his thesis on stock option use was selected to be published.
